Recycling in Piedmont

Picture
Piedmont First United Methodist Church encourages you to be a good steward of what God has given us!

As a church we practice recycling on site. We have an aluminum bin at the SE corner of our parking lot where you may drop off your cans 24/7. We also have a paper pin where we accept newspaper, junk mail, and magazines 24/7 as well. Your recycling efforts not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions and eases the burden on Oklahoma’s landfills but they help send kids to church camp who may otherwise not get to go!

Inside our church building, we have bins for paper in the offices and a bin next to our pop machine for your aluminum cans. We also have a spot in the kitchen for your plastic bottles such as Coke or Gatorade that you bring from outside!

Our church is also in charge of the community-wide recycling effort that takes place on the first Saturday of every month from 9 am to 11 am at the old Co-op parking lot (a couple of blocks south of Jiffy Trip) where the green cardboard recycling bins are currently located.

On these days, you may bring:
Aluminum
Tin or steel cans (such as soup or vegetable cans)
Plastic marked with a 1 or 2
Cardboard
Newspaper
Glass

If you or your group would like to volunteer to help with our effort, please contact the church office at 373-2298!
